Bill Murray appeared on Letterman a couple nights ago and wondered aloud why the "new" (i.e. post 2003) Cubs fans Boo -- his Cubs comments start about 6:30 into the video. I give Bill a ton of credit for actually showing up at a number of regular season games instead of suddenly appearing at playoff time like the Jim Belushi celeb types. All of us have seen Bill sitting in the seats in Florida, New York, Rig-A-Lee, etc. all throughout the year. Now, I am not a "new" Cubs fan (my die-hard days started in 1982), but in an upcoming post I will attempt to explain to Bill why Cubs fans Boo.
